Hi!

Grant learned how to "Hi Five" before he learned to wave but we've been practicing.  Today we had lunch at a place I use to frequent on the weekends years ago.  All the girls still worked there and were waving and smiling at Grant.  He waved back and said "Hi" for the 1st time.  I'm so excited, he's learning and growing up so fast.

Aqua Man

Grant is taking swim classes and learning to hold his breath, float on his back and be comfortable in the water. But really we are just there to have fun. I took a short video but only cuz I love how he wants to put everything in his mouth. Its the true test of liking things. I love the look and feel of this place and the instructors are great too.

Reptiles, Eeek!!!

Took Grant to the Reptile Zoo in Huntington Beach. I'm terrified of scaly things unless they are fish in an aquarium or I'm on a boat.  I'd prefer if Grant liked furry things better like bunnies, puppies and kittens but I had to put on a brave face since I do have a little boy. On my way to the restroom it was close quarters of snakes and other reptiles from floor to ceiling and lucky me walked in the wrong door to an entire room of MORE snakes!!!

Its really quite interesting and you can feed the turtles, buy pets or just enjoy the museum of hundreds of species. They let the dragon and the alligator out for petting.
The dragon was very friendly playing at the window, Grant was amused

"Frank" not so mobile so I don't even think Grant saw him until he started walking around the store. Thank goodness he was old and slow. I don't care for reptiles.
Enjoying the lizards.

Papaya Skin

Daddy shared his papaya with me and let me suck the juices from the skin.  Now that I have 2 bottom teeth and 4 uppers, I can scrape lots of papaya meat straight out of its skin.

Craig Park, Brea

Who knew it would take having a child, to explore and take advantage of all the great things California has to offer in my backyard. Craig Park in Brea is BEAUTIFUL!! Its $3 to get in, but well worth it.

The park offers a variety of recreational activities including two softball fields, two baseball fields, jogging trails, and a sports complex with basketball, volleyball, and racquetball/handball courts and horseshoe pits. AND...3 tot lots for children.

This would be a great place to get together this summer and have a picnic, play some ball and let the children run around.
Triple slides for races, teeter totters, baby swings and more!

Rock walls and all sorts of things to climb on, couldn't get the whole play area in the shot.
Paved trails and horse trails covering 124 acres.

Lake with ducks and fishing allowed.

Lil Fishie

Mr. Active AKA Grant has to always be on the move.  He NEVER just sits and plays with toys so I'm always looking for things to entertain him. I just signed him up for Parent and Me swim lessons. They are free for babies under 36 months at Atlantis Aquatics in Laguna Hills. I'm excited for him to experience the pool with other babies. Teaches babies to be comfortable in the water, hold their breath, safety around water and to start the process for when he is ready to swim. Plus I think he'll just like splashing around.
