October

Grants 2nd birthday
Blowing out candles, playing with his new tractor and garbage truck, and reading a book.  We had planned to go to Disneyland for the 1st time and found out I think the day before that the government shut down puting a stop to that and both of Dave's jobs. Thankfully he is working again so Disneyland is back on the table for December.

A Fall list of things to do from Pinterest. Framed and checked off with a dry erase marker
BaNilla's
Spread peanut butter on each mini Nilla wafer, place a slice of banana in between and roll in sprinkles. Sweet snack with protein and potassium.

Chef Grant taking the broken eggs and throwing them into my pie mixture.  He was also playing with the measuring cups and sink water and poured some in the mixture. Pie's came out ok, must of needed his secret ingredients.

First time on a pony, not exactly thrilled but not terrified. He loves horses from a safe distance
Started painting Frankenstein but more interested in playing with the kids so I finished it.  But he did the cotton ball ghost all by himself.

Playing in the corn box with his friend Caleb who just turned 1 years old. The kids loved this, pouring it down their shirts and making corn angels and burying themselves.

Carved our pumpkins with a drill.  1st one went bad in a couple of weeks so we made another.  For those of you who watch the Mentalist its Red John.  Grant is stamping all the pumpkin guts and making a mess with the seeds flying all over but he's having fun.
Last minute decision to dress up using only the things we had in our closet. Dave is a dark Elmer Fudd hunting bunny rabbits.
Using only what we had in our closet this year since Grant isn't old enough to know super heros yet or understand wearing costumes we dressed him punk rock.  Sprayed his hair blue, tore his jeans and used safety pins and a skull T-shirt.  I was 80's from the Valley like totally. Went to an event in Mission Viejo with our friends where you can see booths were set up to trick o treat.  Grant did great saying Trick o Treat and thank you.

The kids watched this black cat rise out of a pumpkin for a while.  It was so cute to see their reactions.  Grant was unsure about it at first and then loved it and giggled and didn't want to leave.
